How To Start A Powerball

Starting the Powerball using the Starter Cord

At the beginning, starting the Powerball needs some getting use to. Pull the starter cord too soft, the rotor does not have enough spin. Do it again with a little more force.

Rip the cord too hard, you risk getting the cord stuck in the rotor and making a "mess". Don't panic, stop the rotor and slowly untangle the cord. If that doesn't work, you can open up the Powerball, or, give us a tinker.

So here is how to do it, on video.

The Finger Start

Once you are used to the starter cords, you can move on to learn the Finger Start. This technique allows you to quickly activate the Powerball without having to look for the cords.

There is a learning curve to get the technique just right. But once you get it, its just like riding a bicycle... practice.

Hold the NSD Powerball in one hand with the rotor exposed, and apply firm pressure with your thumb or finger.

Simply 'snap' your finger or thumb across the surface of the rotor and start rotating your wrist slowly, again until you fall into rhythm with the rotation of the NSD Powerball.

The trick is get the rotor spinning at a speed of at least 1500rpm. Remember, its not haste nor strength to master the technique.
